Teams often hold some type of early season icebreaker or team off-court function so players can get to know each other a little bit outside the confines of the gym. Although the majority of our players know each other, a little non-volleyball activity still helps the cause. So, thanks to the efforts of our Team Parent, we participated in a team lunch at TJ Chumps following our Saturday morning practice. Parents were also invited so it was an opportunity to follow up our early December Kick-Off Meeting and get to know folks a little better. While not all players were able to attend it was still a good turnout and the food and fellowship did not disappoint.
Our first tournament is only two weeks away, which will be here in no time. As coaches we know of so many things we have not even begun to work on and other items which we need to continue to refine. Guess that is one reason the season lasts five months. With only a limited number of practices left before the first whistle we will make sure to take advantage of every minute of court time. Below are some pictures from the lunch.
